Management red deer hunts
All hunting grounds in Croatia operate under management plans that regulate the red deer population by culling specific categories of animals under natural conditions. In Croatia, such culling is carried out exclusively through individual hunts, never by driven hunts.
The season for male deer runs from August 15 to January 16, though in most hunting grounds management culling is paused during the rut. Hinds may be harvested from September 30 to January 16, while calves can be taken from September 30 to March 1.

In the hunting grounds partnered with our agency, around 1,000 animals are harvested annually under these management plans. Hunts are typically conducted by stalking, often in combination with waiting from high seats near feeding zones, adjusted to weather conditions and guest preferences.
Management hunts for red deer can also be combined with hunting for wild boar. These outings are particularly attractive as they take place in daylight, during regular morning or evening stalks. On average, hunters may expect 2–4 red deer and wild boar per hunting day, making this type of hunt—when no trophy-class animals are pursued—truly “plenty of hunting for little money.” We also offer the option of combining with hunting wild pheasant in its natural environment.
