Mountain red deer

Hunting red deer in this terrain embodies everything associated with authentic mountain hunting. It is considered one of the ultimate hunting challenges, demanding physical stamina, mental resilience, skilled marksmanship, and proper equipment.

The season is limited to the rut (late September to early October), in zones between 400 and 900 m, where open beech forests gradually give way to spruce and fir at higher altitudes. Hunting is conducted by stalking, often enhanced by the traditional use of rutting calls, with experienced guides striving to bring the guest within range.

With a success rate above 80%, even those who do not secure a stag are not counted as unsuccessful—for the experience itself often outweighs the disappointment that the goddess Diana may sometimes bestow.
